English Abstract On 15-16 January 1993 a try-out workshop was organized
by the RIVM. The purpose of this workshop was a mutual introduction of
questions and perspectives, to find out in which way and on which subjects
governmental organisations (ministeries and their research institutions) and
goethean scientists could benefit from cooperation. The first result was

cooperation between conventional and goethean scientists. - the health of
ecosystems: "development capacity" and ecogenesis; guidelines for and
examples of their implementation ; - Goethian and conventional views on the
interactions between economical, ecological and aesthetic
qualities;
