English Abstract A first workshop was held at RIVM in July and August
1990 in order to chart the information flows necessary to produce
Environmental Forecasts. Points of departure were information flows
pertaining to Acidification and Eutrophication models. An attempt was made
to generalize, and to provide relatively detailed examples for Agriculture
and Traffic. Contributors to the first workshop were RIVM staff members
engaged with environmental forecasting and information management at a
general level. This report contains: - diagrams as produced originally by
the first workshop ; - an evaluation ; - ideas on follow-up. The
evaluation stresses the information planning process that yet has to begin,
and the limited use of the attached diagrams outside this
context.
