English Abstract Short term toxicity research was carried out with
Gasterosteus aculeatus in order to determine the cause of fish mortality in
an infiltration lake. The waters observed were from two different
infiltration lakes and a sludge sedimentation pond belonging to the
Provincial Waterworks Noord Holland in Castricum. During the 96 hours of
exposure no differences were found with fish kept in standard water.
Therefore this research did not lead to an identification of the cause for
the observed fish mortality. Results from physico-chemical analyses neither
did lead to any cause.
