Screening of pesticides in surface water used for the public drinking water supply

Orienterend onderzoek naar bestrijdingsmiddelen in oppervlaktewater bestemd voor de drinkwatervoorziening

Synopsis

In 1991-1994 a screening study was performed on the presence of selected pesticides in two intake profiles of the river Rhine- and Meuse water for drinking water supply. From 35 studied pesticides, including organophosphorus compounds, phenylureas, carbamates, nitrophenols and chlorophenoxy acids only Diuron has been found in the Meuse water in concentrations exceeding the detection limit of the analytical method (0.1 ug/l).
