Synopsis

Municipal health offices play an important role in the Netherlands in advising local government on the development of local health policy. Policy plans envisage an integral vision on health where attention is paid to both the promotion of a healthy lifestyle and a good social and physical environment. This guideline focuses on the last topic: environmental factors and characteristics of the physical environment in relation to health.
