Art at RIVM, a natural combination 17 June 2009 Science flourishes in a creative setting. Researchers know how important it can be to step outside one's own frame of reference from time to time, to abandon the apparently logical plan, and to look at things from a different perspective. Art can help in that process. Every other month, RIVM's Art Committee organizes a new art exhibition at the organization's headquarters in De Bilt. The cultural agenda also includes concerts and lectures. Art is intended as a source of inspiration for RIVM staff, but its various cultural activities also enable RIVM to open its doors to the general public and establish a closer relationship with the local community and with society at large. Part of the RIVM art collection is presented on this website. RIVM works in association with the De Bilt Art and Culture Foundation.
