RIVM monitors trends and developments in food safety, healthy diet, medicines and consumer products. What substances are people exposed to? What are the potential health effects? What substances are safe and what pose potential risks to human health and wellbeing? What are the potential interventions? RIVM advises on the quality of pharmaceuticals for human and veterinary use prior to registration and market authorisation.
