Welcome at the bilingual website of the WHO Collaborating Centre for the Family of International Classifications (FIC) in the Netherlands.

The Centre was instituted by WHO in 1989, and came under the RIVM Department of Public Health Forecasting in 1998.

The Centre’s terms of reference relate on the one hand to the implementation and use of the FIC and related classifications in the Netherlands and on the other hand to their international update and revision, resulting from their use; see also the Centre's flyer.

This website is partly bilingual, partly monolingual, either English or Dutch depending on intended user groups and availability of information in either one language or both languages. The website is complementary to the classifications website of WHO: www.who.int/classifications/en.

ICF, ICD-10, ICPC-2 and CMSV are in Dutch online available in a Classification Browser

The Centre issues an international newsletter: Newsletter on the WHO-FIC and fulfils a co-ordinative and facilitating role for international classifications.

The team of the Centre consists of

- Dr. Marijke W. de Kleijn-de Vrankrijker, head, e-mail: marijke.de.kleijn@rivm.nl
- Drs. Huib Ten Napel, head, e-mail: huib.ten.napel@rivm.nl
- Dr. Willem M. Hirs, RIVM, senior advisor, e-mail: willem.hirs@rivm.nl
