6 april 2020: Het RIVM heeft in 2019 dit onderzoek geactualiseerd op basis van de nieuwste wetenschappelijke kennis. De actuele bevindingen over zowel de gezondheidseffecten als de risicobeoordeling staan beschreven in RIVM rapport 2020-0019. Dit rapport maakt onderdeel uit van een serie van tien rapporten over het onderzoek naar chroom-6 op de POMS-locaties van Defensie. Dit rapport bevat geen afzonderlijke publiekssamenvatting. Een overkoepelende publiekssamenvatting van de tien rapporten is te vinden op de website van het RIVM: "Chroom-6 op de POMS-locaties van Defensie: gezondheidseffecten en verantwoordelijkheden.
