English Abstract
The Dutch government defines calculation models for calculating the air quality alongside roads. The air quality in a specific place can be calculated effectively with the help of so-called technical calculation rules. In 2014, RIVM published the technical rules for calculating air quality in an urban environment (SRM-1) and alongside roads and motorways (SRM-2) in two reports. Dutch legislation (Air Quality Assessment Regulation 2007) refers to these reports.

A new report has now been published that supplements the two reports containing the technical calculation rules. This report contains modifications that have been made over the years. During these years, the Ministry of Infrastructure & Water Management has provided more extensive and/or precise descriptions of some of the calculation rules. This was done in collaboration with RIVM. At the request of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management, RIVM is publishing the modifications made.

Rapport in het kort
De Nederlandse overheid stelt rekenmodellen vast om de luchtkwaliteit langs wegen te berekenen. Met behulp van zogeheten technische rekenregels kunnen de rekenmodellen de luchtkwaliteit in een bepaalde omgeving goed berekenen. Het RIVM heeft in 2014 de technische regels voor het rekenen in een stedelijke omgeving (SRM-1) en langs (snel)wegen (SRM-2) in twee rapporten gepubliceerd. De Nederlandse wetgeving (Regeling beoordeling luchtkwaliteit 2007) verwijst naar deze rapporten.

Er is nu een nieuw rapport verschenen als aanvulling op de twee rapporten met de technische rekenregels. Dit rapport bevat aanpassingen die door de jaren heen zijn gemaakt. In die tijd heeft het ministerie van Infrastructuur en Waterstaat (IenW) sommige rekenregels voor de luchtkwaliteit uitgebreider en/of preciezer omschreven. Dit is in overleg met het RIVM gedaan. Het RIVM publiceert de aanpassingen op verzoek van IenW.
