English Abstract
This classification of diagnostic terms for nursing is an unchanged republication of a WCC-standard, based upon the International Classification of Impairments, Disabilities, and Handicaps (ICIDH 1980, 1993). The Dutch WHO Collaborating Centre for the ICIDH of the RIVM-centre for Public Health Forecasting will familiarize users with the basic concepts of ICIDH by republishing this classification which will be revised in 2001 without principal changes. The classification is a selection and regrouping of the ICIDH according to the 11 Functional Health Patterns, for nursing diagnostics distinguished by Marjory Gordon. Many sources were used in this re-editing, such as literature and comments of different professional groups, and re-editing by other professional groups.

Deze classificatie van diagnostische termen voor de verpleegkunde is een ongewijzigde heruitgave van een WCC-standaard, die gebaseerd is op de Internationale Classificatie van Stoornissen, Beperkingen en Handicaps (ICIDH) van 1980. Het Nederlandse WHO Collaborating Centre for the ICIDH van het centrum Volksgezondheid Toekomst Verkenningen van het RIVM wil met deze heruitgave de gebruiker vertrouwd maken met de basisbegrippen van de ICIDH, die in 2001 herzien maar niet principieel gewijzigd zal worden. De classificatie is een selectie en hergroepering van de ICIDH volgens de 11 'Functional Health Patterns', die Marjory Gordon voor de verpleegkundige diagnostiek heeft onderscheiden. In deze bewerking is gebruik gemaakt van een groot aantal bronnen, zoals vakinhoudelijke literatuur, commentaar van berschillende beroepsgroepen en bewerkingen van de ICIDH door andere beroepsgroepen.
