English Abstract
This report describes a framework and a plan of operations for a study, to be sponsored by the Ministry of Welfare, Public Health and Culture Affairs of the Netherlands. The study has the following objectives: 1. The description of the status of public health in the Netherlands, in a broad perspective. 2. Indicating the factors that determine the present status of health. 3. Indicating past trends and possible future developments with respect to the health status and its determinants. 4. Integrating and evaluating the collected information. The Report is meant to be used for the support of ongoing and future policies in the field of public health.
