English Abstract
A better understanding of ecosystem perturbation requires the ability to measure the ecotoxicological effects of a complex variety of chemicals and to separate toxic stress on the ecosystem from other stress factors. This report describes a pilot study on two methods which are applicable to aquatic ecosystems.

Om de oorzaak van aantasting van ecosystemen te kunnen begrijpen kan het nodig zijn over de mogelijkheid te beschikken om stress, doorgaans veroorzaakt door een gecompliceerd mengsel van toxische stoffen, te scheiden van andere stress-factoren. Dit rapport beschrijft een pilotstudie naar twee methoden die toegepast kunnen worden op aquatische ecosystemen.
