English Abstract
In this report the preparation and characterization of a number of antibodies have been described. These antibodies have been raised in rabbits against cytochrome P-450 isoenzymes of rat liver microsomes. The antigens were isolated from liver microsomes of control rats and rats treated with beta-naftoflavon, phenobarbital and isosarole. Characterization of these antibodies was performed by detection on Western blots. It appeared that antibodies raised against the total isoenzym pattern of cytochrome P-450 showed a good immuno reactivity. A number of antibodies raised against individual cytochrome P-450 isoenzymes also showed an immunological reaction, such as isoenzym IA1 and IA2 from BNF-induced microsomes. The raised antibodies were compared with commercial antibodies against cytochrome P-450, IA1, IIB1, IIE1 and IIIA on Western blots. From this comparison it appeared that besides cytochrome P-450 IA1 also a good antibody has been obtained against cytochrome P-450 IIB1.
