English Abstract The operations carried out by the Laboratory of
Radiation Research are embedded in a quality system. An important part of
the laboratory efforts form the determination of radioactivity levels in
environmental samples to establish the quality of the environment (under
normal and emergency conditions), to carry out monitoring and inspection
tasks and for the purpose of process studies. Analytical methods routinely
carried out are described in the Standard Operating Procedures. (SOPs).
One of the aspects involved quality assurance of radioactivity measurements
by regular participation in (inter)national intercomparison exercises. This
report reflects the results of intercomparison runs to which LSO
participated. Both standard LSO methods and methods for which no standard
operating procedure have been developed were used for the
determinations.
