English Abstract
This report gives an overview of the sampling results of several non-routine parameters: silver, beryllium and antimony, and chromium VI, bentazon and mecoprop. Development work on a method for determining the presence of polar pesticides in water was continued. In this overview, showing the sampling results of the non-routine parameterse, silver was demonstrable at only 3% of all groundwater and surface-water pumping stations in both purified and unpurified water. In only 2% of all samples was beryllium found at all groundwater and surface-water pumping stations. Antimony was found at 9% of all groundwater and surface-water pumping stations in both purified and unpurified water. The concentrations of silver found were all below the maximum level for silver in drinking water for the Netherlands. Since there is no maximum level for beryllium in drinking water for the Netherlands, measured concentrations of beryllium were compared to the EPA maximum contaminant level (MCL) for beryllium in drinking water and found to be below this level. The concentrations of antimony found were all below the maximum level for antimony in drinking water for the Netherlands. Chromium VI was demonstrable at 47% of a number of selected groundwater and surface-water pumping stations in both purified and unpurified water. The concentrations of chromium VI found were all far below the maximum level for chromium in drinking water for the Netherlands. Demonstrable bentazon concentrations were found in 62% of all groundwater observation filters located at a number of freatic groundwater pumping stations. In 30% of these samples, bentazon concentrations above the Netherlands'criterion for individual pesticides were found in drinking water, with no trace of mecoprop found in the samples. The occurrence of bentazon may pose problems for the production of drinking water with respect to the quality of the source (i.e. groundwater); more research is needed here.

Dit rapport geeft een overzicht van de meetresultaten van de bemonstering van een aantal niet-routinematige parameters, te weten zilver, beryllium en antimoon, alsmede chroom VI, bentazon en mecoprop. Tevens is de ontwikkeling van een methodiek voor het bepalen van polaire bestrijdingsmiddelen in water voortgezet. Zilver is bij slechts 3% van alle grond- en oppervlaktewater-pompstations in het ruwe en reine water aangetoond. De aangetoonde concentraties blijven onder de norm voor zilver in drinkwater. Bij slechts 2% van alle grond- en oppervlaktewater-pompstations is beryllium aangetoond in het ruwe en reine water. In Nederland is er geen norm voor beryllium in drinkwater. Aangetoonde concentraties blijven onder de EPA maximum contaminant level (MCL) voor beryllium in drinkwater. Antimoon is bij 9% van alle grond- en oppervlaktewaterpompstations in het ruwe en reine water aangetoond. De aangetoonde concentraties antimoon blijven onder de norm voor antimoon in drinkwater. Chroom VI is bij 47% van de geselecteerde grond- en oppervlaktewater-pompstations in het ruwe en reine water aangetoond. De aangetoonde concentraties chroom VI blijven echter ver onder de norm voor chroom (-totaal) in drinkwater. Bentazon is bij 62% van de onderzochte freatische grondwaterwinningen in een of meerdere monsters aangetoond. In 30% van deze monsters ligt de concentratie bentazon boven het criterium van 0.1 4g/l. Mecoprop is niet aangetoond. Het voorkomen van bentazon kan mogelijk problemen opleveren voor de kwaliteit van de grondstof (grondwater) voor de bereiding van drinkwater, hiervoor is meer onderzoek nodig. De resultaten geven geen aanleiding de verkennende metingen voor zilver, beryllium, antimoon, chroom VI en mecoprop in de nabije toekomst te herhalen. Meer onderzoek is wel nodig naar het voorkomen van bentazon in grondwater, met name gericht op het onderzoek voor de toelating.
