English Abstract
This report gives an overview of the sampling results of several non-routine parameters: organic anions (acetate, formiate and oxalate), dinitrophenols (DNOC, dinoseb and dinoterb) and organometals (organotinspecies, organolead and organomercury). Organic anions were measured in a total of 14 samples at five surface-water pumping stations and one groundwater pumping station in purified water and during purification before and after active carbon filtration and/or before and after ozonisation. Dinitrophenols were measured in a total of 118 samples in groundwater observation filters located at 29 freatic groundwater pumping stations and at nine collection points for surface-water. Organometals were measured at 11 collection points for surface water. The non-routine parameter sampling yielded the following main results. For the organic anions, acetate was found in 19 of the 24 samples taken (79%); the highest concentrations were measured after ozonisation. Formiate was found in all samples, the highest concentrations also measured after ozonisation. Oxalate was demonstrable in 16 of all the samples (67%); the highest concentrations were measured before active carbon filtration and after ozonisation. There is no maximum level for these organic anions in drinking water in the Netherlands, neither do EU, WHO and EPA have maximum levels for acetate, formiate and oxalate in drinking water. DNOC was found in 14 of the 118 samples for dinitrophenols (12%), all from collection points for surface water. In two of these samples, DNOC concentrations exceeded the Netherlands standard for individual pesticides in drinking water. Dinoseb was found in only two of all samples (2%), one from a groundwater pumping station and one from a collection point for surface water. The concentrations of dinoseb found were all below the standard. Dinoterb concentrations, found in five of all the samples (4%), divided over four different groundwater pumping stations and one collection point for surface water, were all below the standard. To conclude: occurrence of DNOC, dinoseb and dinoterb will pose no problems for the production of drinking water with respect to the quality of the source (i.e. groundwater and surface water). Since none of the investigated organometals were found at the collection points, the screening study of organometals was not further investigated.

Dit rapport geeft een overzicht van de meetresultaten van de bemonstering van een aantal niet-reguliere parameters, te weten een aantal organische anionen (acetaat, formiaat en oxalaat), dinitrofenolherbiciden (DNOC, dinoseb en dinoterb) en organometalen (organotinspecies, organolood en organokwik). Organische anionen zijn gemeten bij vijf oppervlaktewaterpompstations en 1 grondwaterpompstation in het reine water en tijdens zuivering voor en na actief koolfiltratie en voor en na ozonisatie. In totaal zijn 24 monsters geanalyseerd. Acetaat is in 19 monsters (79%) aangetoond, de hoogste waarden zijn gemeten na ozonisatie. Formiaat is in alle monsters aangetoond, ook hier zijn de hoogste concentraties gemeten na ozonisatie. Oxalaat is in 16 monsters (67%) aangetoond, de hoogste waarde is gemeten voor actief koolfiltratie, de daaropvolgende hoogste waarden zijn gemeten na ozonisatie. In Nederland is er geen norm voor deze organische anionen in drinkwater, ook de EG, de WHO en de EPA hebben geen richtlijnen voor acetaat, formiaat en oxalaat in drinkwater. Dinitrofenolen zijn gemeten in grondwater van diverse waarnemingsfilters bij een selectie van freatische grondwaterpompstations en bij een aantal innamepunten voor oppervlaktewater. In totaal zijn 118 monsters geanalyseerd. DNOC is in 14 monsters (12%) aangetoond, deze monsters zijn alle afkomstig van innamepunten voor oppervlaktewater. Hiervan liggen twee concentraties boven het criterium van 0.1 ug/l. Dinoseb is in slechts twee monsters (2%) aangetoond, verdeeld over 1 grondwaterpompstation en 1 innamepunt voor oppervlaktewater. Geen van de aangetoonde concentraties ligt boven de drinkwaternorm. Dinoterb is in vijf monsters (4%) aangetoond, verdeeld over vier verschillende grondwaterpompstations en 1 innamepunt voor oppervlaktewater. De aangetoonde concentraties dinoterb blijven onder de drinkwaternorm. Het voorkomen van DNOC, dinoseb en dinoterb levert geen problemen op voor de kwaliteit van de grondstof (grondwater en oppervlaktewater) voor de bereiding van drinkwater. Het screeningsonderzoek naar organometalen (organotinspecies, organolood en organokwik), is vanwege het niet aantreffen van deze stoffen bij een aantal innamepunten voor oppervlaktewater niet verder voortgezet.
