English Abstract In this report the occurrence probability of 700 plant
species has been described in relation to soil moisture, pH, nutrient
availability, and salt. Occurrence probability is expressed with simple
regression statistics in terms of semi- quantitative Ellenberg indication
values. Analysis is based on a very large national data base of vegetation
recordings. For each ecoregion of the Netherlands the occurrence
probability of the plant species has been analysed separately. Results,
regional differences and possible applications in the field of scenario
studies and standard setting are discussed.
