English Abstract This annual survey (Jaaroverzicht Luchtkwaliteit 1997)
contains a report on the state of air quality and atmospheric deposition in
the Netherlands in 1997, based on published data, measurements and model
calculations. The survey is presented in accordance with the policy themes.
In a special chapter attention is also paid to troposferic ozone. This
report consists a 'picturebook' (maps en figures with a short written
explanation) and appendixes with data-information about monitoring sites and
exceedance of air quality guidelines. Attention is paid to the enhanced
greenhouse effect, stratospheric ozone layer breakdown, acidification,
eutrophication and dispersion. The report includes a dutch and english
summary with an overview of the most important results and
conclusions.
Rapport in het kort
In dit rapport wordt de luchtkwaliteit en de belasting
van bodem en oppervlaktewater door atmosferische depostitie in 1997
beschreven. Deze beschrijving is tot stand gekomen op basis van metingen in
het Landelijk Meetnet Luchtkwaliteit, aanvullende meetgegevens van
provinciale en regionale instanties, modelberekeningen en een combinatie van
deze. Het belangrijkste deel van dit jaaroverzicht is de figuren- en
kaartenatlas. In 1997 blijke er wederom op landelijke schaal
normoverschijdingen plaats te hebben gevonden voor ozon- en fijn
stof-concentraties en potentieel zuur-depositie. Op lokale schaal werden
ook normen voor industrie- en verkeersgerelateerde stoffen als NO2, zwarte
rook, BaP en benzeen overschreden.
