English Abstract In this report a description is given of WAPRO, a
computermodel to calculate projections of water consumption. By applying
economic, demographic and technological scenario's, the future water demand
of certain sectors can be calculated with WAPRO. It's also possible to
explore the effects of certain measures to reduce the water consumption.
These measures can easily be switched on and off with WAPRO. WAPRO has been
made for personal computers (IBM-compatible) under the MS-DOS operating
system, with a hard disk and can be easily installed from a floppy disk.
The user of WAPRO has the possibility to insert his own measures in the
model and he can choose which measures must be switched on (or off) in a
calculation. This report describes how to install WAPRO on a hard disk and
how it is used. Furthermore the structure of the model is discussed and
which data must be inserted in the various screens. Users who are
interested in the more technical data-structure and file-organization and
-structure of WAPRO, can read the last chapter of the
appendix.
