English Abstract This report presents the RIVM contribution to an
Interlaboratory Measurement Evaluation Programme (IMEP)-2 "Cadmium in
polyethylene" of the Joint Research Centre, Belgium. This programme is
concerned with the analysis of Cadmium at "typical" concentrations in a
plastic polymer (Polyethylene) matrix. The results of two different Atomic
absorption Sepctrometry (AAS) procedures and an Instrumental Neutron
Activation Analyses (INAA) procedure are evaluated. The results of both
procedures are not significant different from the reference
value.
