English Abstract Economic monetary scenarios are converted into physical
scenarios by the National Institute of Public Health and the Environment
(RIVM) and the Netherlands Bureau for Economic Policy Analysis (CPB). The
model STREAM, Substance Throughput Relating to Economic Activity Model, is
used for this conversion. The focus here was modelling the marginal costs
of recovering waste plastics and the marginal revenues of the recovered
plastics. The resultant marginal net costs function will be implemented in
STREAM. The effects of several policy measures on recovery costs and
revenues were also estimated.

Door het Rijksinstituut voor Volksgezondheid en Milieu
(RIVM) en het Centraal Planbureau (CPB) worden in samenwerking economische
scenario's omgezet in fysieke scenario's. Hiervoor wordt het model STREAM
(Substance Throughput Relating to Economic Activity Model) gebruikt. In
deze studie wordt de herverwerking van kunststof gemodelleerd. Daarvoor
zijn marginale kosten- en opbrengstencurven voor dit hergebruiksproces
geconstrueerd. De resulterende netto-opbrengstenfunctie wordt in STREAM
ingebouwd. Tevens worden de effecten van beleidsmaatregelen ter
beinvloeding van de verwerkingswijze van kunststofafval
geschat.
