WHO Collaborating Centre for Infectious Disease Preparedness and IHR monitoring and evaluation

In 2017, RIVM National Coordination Centre for Communicable Disease Control has been assigned WHO Collaborating Centre for Infectious Disease Preparedness and IHR Monitoring & Evaluation. Following the International Health Regulations (IHR,2005), Member States are required to develop, strengthen and maintain their capacity to detect, assess, notify and respond to a public health emergency of international concern.

The Collaborating Centre supports WHO in the implementation and monitoring of the IHR at country level. This entails that the Collaborating Centre supports the establishment and strengthening of core capacities and functions, required under the IHR in WHO Europe Member States, by providing technical advice on all-hazard preparedness and IHR  Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E).

The WHO CC Infectious Disease Preparedness and IHR M&E is coordinated by Dr Aura TimeRIVM Centre for Infectious Disease Control.
