The Dutch Food Composition Database (NEVO) contains data on the composition of foods. NEVO is, part of the Netherlands Food Information Resource (NethFIR), owned by the Dutch Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sports, and is maintained at the Dutch National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM). An advisory board with scientific experts, data providers and users of NEVO data advises RIVM.

NEVO Foundation

Until the first of July 2007, NEVO was managed by The NEVO Foundation. This Foundation arose from two committees – the Uniform Coding of Food Consumption Surveys (UCV: Uniforme Codering van Voedingsenquêtes) and the Dutch Food Composition Table (NVT: Nederlandse Voedingsmiddelentabel) of the Nutrition Council. The database management was located at TNO in Zeist. The NEVO foundation was disbanded on December 31st 2010. The term NEVO remains the same.
