The number of infections among nursing home residents is decreasing in the Netherlands. On the other hand, infections among older people living at home have been on the rise again since last week.

From this week on, RIVM will start releasing updates on vaccination coverage in the first groups to be vaccinated in the Netherlands. The percentage of people who have been vaccinated against COVID-19 is known for three groups of elderly people.

The first mental health clients in inpatient or residential care in four large institutions in the Netherlands will be vaccinated against COVID-19 this week.

44,050 vaccines were delivered to the Caribbean part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands last week. The delivery consisted of vaccines from Moderna and from Pfizer/BioNTech.

Starting next week, vaccination for clients receiving care under the Long-Term Care Act, who are living in small-scale residential facilities without an institutional physician, will be expanded to the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine and Moderna vaccine.

The Pharmacovigilance Centre Lareb announced today that the centre had received a total of 15 reports so far regarding deaths shortly after receiving the COVID-19 vaccinations.

RIVM is launching a survey-based study this week on risk factors for the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2.  The participants in this study are people who get tested for COVID-19 in a GGD test lane.
