Training fellowships for intervention epidemiology in Europe

Until February 2012, European public health professionals are warmly encouraged to apply for the European Programme for Intervention Epidemiology Training (EPIETIntervention Epidemiology Training), starting in September 2012. If you are a medical practitioner, public health nurse, microbiologist, veterinarian or other health professionals from the EUEuropese Unie with previous experience in public health and keen interest in epidemiology and you are interested to learn how to control infectious diseases, the EPIET programme is a rewarding two-year investment. The programme provides training and practical experience in intervention epidemiology at national and regional centres for surveillance and control of infectious diseases in the EU. The European Centre for Disease Control (ECDCEuropean Centre for Disease Prevention and Control) has been managing the programme since 2006. In 2012, the ECDC plans to recruit approximately 12 applicants for this two-year fellowship programme.

Vacancy notice for application can be found on the website for European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control at
