Introduction to SHICrivm:

Software package for wavelength SHIft and quality Control of solar spectral UV-measurements.

The solar UV-spectrum reaching the earths surface is highly variable, and strongly depends on solar height, the atmospheric ozone column, clouds and aerosols, height, and albedo of the surrounding. The determination of biologically weighted UV-doses, and the determination of the UV-climate require highly accurate measurements.

SHICrivm enables operators and users of solar UV-spectra to assess several aspects of the quality of measured UV-spectra, and allows for a standardized method of calculating biologically weighted UV-doses from spectral UV-measurements, and spectra with a standard slit function.
