In April 2014, Loes Soetens joined the modelling group at the Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit of the RIVM. She works on a project entitled “Data visualization and early warning of infectious diseases” under the supervision of Jacco Wallinga. In this project, she wants to gain more insight in how to handle complex data in multiple dimensions, such as time, type, place and person. In addition, she aims to improve the processing and display of this data during an outbreak situation.
