RIVM uses a complaints procedure to address complaints about the organisation.
Complaints should be submitted in writing: either by post or by e-mail. An official complaint about RIVM can be addressed to:

Clearly indicate at the top of your letter that it is about a complaint and specify the subject of your complaint.
- You will receive written confirmation that your complaint has been received.
- Your complaint will be processed by someone who is not involved in the issue addressed in your complaint.
- The accuser and the defendant will each have an opportunity to be heard, unless the accuser indicates a desire to waive that right.
In principle, the complaint will be resolved within six weeks. If you are not satisfied with how RIVM handles your complaint or with the results of the formal procedure, you can file a complaint with the National Ombudsman.
