Creating nutritious, safe and sustainable seafood for consumers of tomorrow.

The global demand for food (including seafood) is expected to double by 2050, creating a need for seafood products that are socially, economically and environmentally sustainable. SEAFOODTOMORROW had developed new environmentally-friendly and transparent seafood production and processing methods to improve European seafood security.

Duration

The project ran from November 2017 until October 2020 (36 months).

Consortium

SEAFOODTOMORROW brought together 35 partners and 12 third-party affiliates from 19 countries across Europe. RIVM was one of the 19 research institutes involved in the project.
