Creating nutritious, safe and sustainable seafood for consumers of tomorrow.
The global demand for food (including seafood) is expected to double by 2050, creating a need for seafood products that are socially, economically and environmentally sustainable. SEAFOODTOMORROW had developed new environmentally-friendly and transparent seafood production and processing methods to improve European seafood security.
The project ran from November 2017 until October 2020 (36 months).
SEAFOODTOMORROW brought together 35 partners and 12 third-party affiliates from 19 countries across Europe. RIVM was one of the 19 research institutes involved in the project.
This project received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 773400.
