The EAU is a small, flexible research team that collects data to assess the risk of hazardous substances, which are released during environmental and natural disasters. The EAU can be deployed quickly all over the world.  The Dutch National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM) is responsible for managing and deploying the EAU.
