International and public private collaboration
PERISCOPE is a unique public-private partnership between a group of pertussis experts from 15 universities and 3 national public health institutes all over Europe, and 2 small medium enterprises and the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations (EFPIA) partners Sanofi Pasteur and GSK.
The consortium is supported by a joint programme of the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation agenda and the Innovative Medicines Initiative- 2 programme (H2020-IMI2) under agreement No 115910. Importantly, PERISCOPE is the first IMI project to also receive funding from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF), which reflects the global importance of this project.
