As of today, people born in 1971 can schedule an appointment online via www.coronavaccinatie-afspraak.nl for vaccination by the Municipal Public Health Services (GGDs). At that appointment, they will receive the Pfizer/BioNTech or Moderna vaccine. They will receive the invitation letter for COVID-19 vaccination from Saturday 29 May on, and can then also schedule an appointment by telephone. In total, there are 250,000 people who were born in 1971.

People who have already been vaccinated are removed from the invitation lists wherever possible.  This may take time if the vaccination data has not (yet) been received by RIVM. As a result, people may receive more than one invitation. People who have already been vaccinated, for example care workers, can disregard the second invitation.

By now, the GGDs have opened 136 vaccination sites where people can go to get vaccinated.

Schedule for the vaccination campaign

The Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport (VWS) determines the order in which groups are vaccinated. The advisory reports of the Health Council of the Netherlands are used as guidance. The start dates for vaccination of the various target groups depend on vaccine availability. For the latest order of vaccination, please visit Government.nl.
