Vaccinations of BioNTech/Pfizer in fridge

As of today,  teens born before 1 July 2009 can make an appointment for COVID-19 vaccination by the Municipal Public Health Services (GGDs). The appointment can be scheduled by phone or via www.coronavaccinatie-afspraak.nl/. They will receive the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine from the GGD. The invitations will be delivered from Friday 16 July on. In total, there are  94,304 people born in the first half of 2009.

At the end of June, the Health Council advised that all young people between the ages of 12 and 17 be vaccinated against COVID-19. Young people in medical risk groups have already been invited.

Teens born after 30 June 2009

Young people who turn 12 years old in July and August 2021 will be able to make an appointment for COVID-19 vaccination as of their birthday. They will receive an invitation letter in the post at the end of the month in which they turn 12. Young people who will turn 12 on or after 1 September will hear later how they can make an appointment to be vaccinated.

Consent for vaccination of minors

Teens aged 16 and older can decide on their own whether to be vaccinated, while young people between the ages of 12 and 15 years decide together with their parents.

They and their parents can find more information on vaccination and the vaccine for young people (in Dutch) at www.coronavaccinatie.nl/jongeren.
