At the end of 2018, RIVM had 1,831 employees (1660 FTE), a slight increase (2%) compared to 2017. The average age of RIVM employees was the same as in 2017, specifically 46.4 years.
Staff composition in 2018
Of the total number of RIVM employees in 2018, 43.3% were male and 56.7% were female. Compared to 2017, the percentage of women has increased slightly (0.5 percent). In the higher salary scales (scale 13 and up), the ratio of men and women is virtually the same.
Employees with an occupational disability
In 2023 RIVM must have employed 50 people with an occupational disability, or hired them based on secondment. These positions should be for an average of 25.5 working hours per week. In most cases, the employees are hired through the Public Employment Service or a secondment agency.
