Ardine de Wit has worked as a health technology assessment and health economy researcher for over 30 years. Her work at RIVM (in the Health Economics & Health Services Research department of the Centre for Public Health, Healthcare and Society) focuses on challenges in the field of prevention efficiency.

In addition, she serves as endowed professor of Economic Evaluation of Public Health Interventions at VU Amsterdam, where her main duty is to supervise PhD students during their doctoral research. She has been involved in a wide variety of efficiency studies in the fields of public health and healthcare and has experience with both modeling studies and economic evaluations based on clinical research. Additionally, De Wit has put her knowledge and expertise at the service of other organisations, such as ZonMw (as a member of the Central Prevention Committee, the Appropriate Suitable Care Committee and the Prevention Knowledge Platform) and the National Healthcare Institute (as a member of the Insured Package Advisory Committee).
