For a year now, I’ve witnessed with my own eyes that RIVM’s greatest capital is the people who work there. It’s the job of all elements of business operations to ensure that RIVM’s people are able to perform their duties to the best of their abilities and enjoy their work. I’m happy to contribute to achieving that goal

Sicco Louw holds an MA in Dutch Language and Literature and has ample managerial experience at the central government level. His previous positions include those of Director of Communications at the Ministries of Housing, Spatial Planning and the Environment (VROM) and the Interior and Kingdom Relations (BZK) and Director of Personnel & Organisation at BZK. Since the summer of 2020, Sicco has been working on secondment from the Senior Civil Service as an interim manager. It was in that capacity that he rejoined RIVM in January 2022. Previously, he had worked at RIVM as Deputy Manager of the Centre for Infectious Disease Control and as acting Director of Public Health and Health Services. In addition, Sicco is a member of Zoetermeer’s municipal council for the Dutch Labour Party PvdA.
