RIVM in collaboration with Security and Freedom for Europe (SAFE) developed a Train the Trainer curriculum on ‘Validation and Workflows in SARS-CoV-2 Testing Centers’. The Train the Trainer programme was developed as part of the EU European Union (European Union ) Chemical Biological Radiology and Nuclear (CBRN Chemical Biological Radiology and nuclear (Chemical Biological Radiology and nuclear )) Centers of Excellence Project 73.

Project 73 is implemented to secure critical national infrastructure in partner countries in the Middle East region, specifically: Iraq, Jordan and Lebanon. It includes both the physical facilities that supply communities in partner countries with goods and services, like water, transportation, fuel and the communication and cyber technology that connects people and supports the critical infrastructure systems.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the project has been extended with a COVID-19 support programme. RIVM developed a Train the Trainer curriculum on ‘Validation and Workflows in SARS-CoV-2 Testing Centers’. The training was given to the Beirut Fire Fighters Brigade, the Civil Defense and Medical personnel in Lebanon.
