All women aged 30, 35, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60 will receive an invitation for cervical cancer screening. They can participate by taking a smear test at the GP or by a self-test. In the laboratory is tested whether hrHPV can be found. If no hrHPV is found, the round is finished. If HPV is found, the material is further examined for abnormal cells. With a smear this happens immediately, with a self-test a smear is first needed. Depending on the result, a check-up smear after 1 year is needed, or a follow-up examination at the gynecologist.
