There is currently an outbreak of the Ebola virus (Bundibugyo virus) in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). There have also been several reported cases in Uganda. Those infected in Uganda had either travelled to the DRC or cared for patients from the DRC. As a traveller, the chances of you coming (or having come) into contact with the Ebola virus are very small. Even so, the municipal health services (GGD) and RIVM would like to highlight some precautions you can take and possible symptoms to look out for.
