In support of WHO, RIVM is creating a webportal; a one-stop shop for European health data, information and evidence.

The WHO Regional Office for Europe and RIVM have joined forces to improve the European health information situation and create a stronger and more sustainable information system. The European Health Information Initiative (EHII) aims to expand into a multi-partner network organisation. It is active in the field of health information, including health data, indicators, monitoring and reporting as well as evidence to inform health policy.
André van der Zande, Director-General of RIVM, and Zsuzsanna Jakab, WHO Regional Director for Europe, signed a letter of intent on 30 October 2012, stating their commitment to work together on health information by setting up a new initiative under the Dutch partnership agreement.
