Maximising health equity and environmental sustainability: the INter-sectoral Health and Environment Research for InnovaTions (INHERIT) project has kicked off. RIVMNational Institute for Public Health and the Environment  experts joined 17 other partners from science, health and technology sectors in Brussels on February 29th, to start work on the INHERIT project.

Funded through the EU Horizon 2020 programme and coordinated by EuroHealthNet, the project seeks to understand how intersectoral policies and actions can help modify our lifestyles to simultaneously protect the environment and our health.

RIVMNational Institute for Public Health and the Environment will lead the work on establishing the baseline knowledge base and developing the common analytical framework and will be co-leading in the evaluation of promising practices and interventions.
