As of today, people born in 1969 and 1970 can schedule an appointment online via https://www.coronavaccinatie-afspraak.nl for vaccination by the Municipal Public Health Services (GGDs). At that appointment, they will receive the Pfizer/BioNTech or Moderna vaccine. They will receive the invitation letter for COVID-19 vaccination from Friday 28 May on. That invitation can also be used to schedule an appointment by telephone. In total, there are over 520,000 people born in 1969 and 1970.

People may receive more than one invitation. For example, they could be invited now based on the year when they were born, but may sometimes already have been invited via a different route, for example because they work in healthcare. People who have already been vaccinated can disregard the second invitation.

By now, the GGDs have opened 136 vaccination sites where people can go to get vaccinated.

Schedule for the vaccination campaign

The Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport (VWS) determines the order in which groups are vaccinated. The advisory reports of the Health Council of the Netherlands are used as guidance. The start date for vaccination of the various target groups depends on vaccine availability. For the latest order of vaccination, please visit Government.nl.
