Complaints

The National Programme for Breast Cancer Screening is implemented by various organisations. All organisations are doing their best to ensure that the population screening is carried out as well as possible. However, you may not be satisfied and have a complaint.  

To handle your complaint properly and quickly, it is important that you submit your complaint to the appropriate organisation. Every organisation has someone who handles the complaints. More information is provided below.

Do you have a complaint about the implementation of your screening test?

If you have a complaint about your invitation, the result or about the breast X-rays taken in the (mobile) unit, please contact the Bevolkingsonderzoek Nederland (in Dutch).

Do you have a complaint about the follow-up examination?

The follow-up examination is not part of the population screening. If you have a complaint about this, please submit it to the hospital where you went for your follow-up.

Do you have a complaint about RIVM?

Do you have a complaint about the information materials, such as this website, the videos or the leaflets for the population screening? Or a complaint about this population screening test or RIVM? Please submit your complaint to RIVM.
