Poly- en perfluoralkyl stoffen (PFAS) zijn een door de mens gemaakte groep chemicaliën die door hun gunstige chemische eigenschappen in veel producten verwerkt zijn of worden. Uitstoot naar het milieu vindt plaats door de productie en het gebruik van deze
producten. PFAS Per- en polyfluoralkylstoffen (Per- en polyfluoralkylstoffen ) worden aangetroffen in grond, grondwater, oppervlaktewater, drinkwater en voedsel, maar ook in biologische matrixen.
