From 19 April on, people who have moderately or severely impaired immunity will receive their invitation for a repeat vaccination against COVID-19. These are patients in the Netherlands who are being treated by a medical specialist for a specific condition or receiving certain prescription medication. These people will receive the invitation through the hospital where they are being treated.
People who have moderately or severely impaired immunity have a higher risk of serious illness if they are infected with the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2. For these people, it is important that they get a repeat vaccination against COVID-19 now, at least 3 months after their booster jab.
From 20 April on, people with impaired immunity can go to the GGD locations for their repeat vaccination. The invitation explains how these people can make their appointment.
