RIVM is providing access to COVID-19 vaccination figures by municipality via open data as of today. The open data now includes vaccination turnout and coverage by municipality for three age groups: 12-17 years, 12 years and older, and 18 years and older.
Vaccination turnout and coverage by municipality is calculated based on anonymous data provided by the Municipal Public Health Services (GGDs), combined with data from the central vaccination register on doses administered by other implementing parties in the context of the vaccination programme. More information is available on the Coronavirus Dashboard (article in Dutch).
Until now, vaccination turnout and coverage was displayed in categories and colour codes in the RIVM weekly vaccination update. The percentages available now provide more insight into vaccination figures at the municipal level. The figures show that there there are municipalities where vaccination turnout has been lower than average, such as in the Dutch ‘Bible belt’ and in several bigger cities. There are also municipalities where vaccination turnout is currently high, such as the Wadden Islands (Texel, Vlieland, Terschelling, Ameland and Schiermonnikoog), Raalte and Bunnik.
From now on, the figures will be published on the RIVM website on a weekly basis, as open data. Vaccination figures at the municipal level will also be displayed on the Coronavirus Dashboard within the near future.
