Consumers are frequently exposed to chemical substances in or released from everyday consumer products like paint, cosmetics, clothing and cleaning products. Chemical substances in these products should not be a concern for human health.

ConsExpo is used within and outside Europe by governments, institutes and industries to assess the exposure to chemical substances from everyday consumer products. ConsExpo can be used for the safety assessment of industrial chemicals (REACH) and biocides.

ConsExpo is een computerprogramma waarmee de blootstelling aan stoffen in consumentenproducten kan worden geschat en beoordeeld. Het gaat hierbij om stoffen als verf, schoonmaakmiddelen en persoonlijke verzorgingsproducten. Het model is ontwikkeld door het Rijksinstituut voor Volksgezondheid en Milieu. In oktober 2016 is een verbeterde, web-based versie gelanceerd.
