Dietary choices are linked to both human health and environmental sustainability. Policies and interventions targeting dietary choices can lead to improvements in both areas, although trade-offs that exist are inevitable.   

There is a wide range of policies and interventions available to steer consumers’ eating behaviour. However, policies combining health and sustainability diet objectives are sparse and often limited in providing information. By jointly studying health and environmental impacts of policies, more coherent and effective policy interventions for sustaining human as well as environmental health can be developed.
